Trump Claims U.S. Leads in Energy Resources, Including Oil, Gas, and Coal

US has more oil gas coal – In a recent statement, U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that the nation possesses greater energy reserves than any other country globally, citing Venezuela’s progress as a key factor. During a press briefing aboard Air Force One while en route to Chippewa Falls, Trump highlighted the U.S.’s successful diplomatic engagement with Iran, emphasizing the nation’s achievements in this area.

Energy Resources and Venezuela

When questioned about potential gasoline export restrictions, Trump noted that current oil prices stand at $96 per barrel, far below the $300 per barrel projections people had anticipated three and a half months prior. He estimated that the U.S. holds approximately 64% of these energy resources, a figure he described as ‘unbelievable.’

“Venezuela’s working out very well. We’re getting along incredibly. The country is happy. The people love the USA. The big oil companies are moving in there now as we speak. And we’re going to be taking out millions of barrels of oil,” Trump said.

Oil Prices and Iran Diplomacy

Trump also addressed the question of whether U.S. oil companies are doing enough to increase production. He responded, “Well we have everything we need. The world doesn’t. But I will say people thought it was going to be a lot worse. You know, today I looked at 96 dollars a barrel. People thought that was going to be 300 dollars a barrel.”

“And in the meantime, we’re having great success with Iran. They’re not going to have a nuclear weapon. And they’re in no position to have a nuclear weapon,” he added.

Military Actions in the Strait of Hormuz

Meanwhile, U.S. forces intercepted Iranian missiles and drones targeting the Strait of Hormuz and nearby regions, escalating tensions in the area. According to the Washington Post, the military reported that Iran launched seven ballistic missiles toward Kuwait and Bahrain shortly after Centcom downed four Iranian attack drones aimed at the strait.
