Protest Leaders Voice Concerns About Potential Escalation

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, revealed that organizers anticipate a significantly larger turnout on Saturday and Sunday. He suggested that authorities may attempt to detain or arrest protest leaders overnight to prevent the gathering from growing even larger.

“If that happens, it will be another major mistake. When they took Sonam Sir away, the movement only grew stronger,” Dipke stated, drawing parallels to previous incidents where arrests strengthened the protest momentum.

The founder emphasized that when students were lathi-charged and injured during earlier demonstrations, the protests intensified further. He warned that detaining additional leaders could cause the movement to spread across the country. Dipke concluded that the only viable solution for the government is the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das shared intelligence suggesting that authorities might employ hired groups to provoke violence at Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas.
