“Light rainfall accompanied by light thunderstorms and lightning is very likely to occur at several locations in Delhi and the NCR, including Jafarpur, Nazafgarh, Dwarka, Palam, IGI Airport, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj, and Ayanagar,” stated the IMD in their advisory. The report highlights that these conditions could disrupt daily routines and impact outdoor activities.

Delhi Weather on June 14 and 15: A Closer Look

On June 14, Delhi experienced temperatures slightly below the seasonal average, with a high of 38.5°C. The IMD forecasted that light thunderstorms and lightning would hit areas like Bawana, Rajauri Garden, Patel Nagar, Safdarjung, Lodi Road, Budha Jayanti Park, President House, Rajeev Chauk, ITO, Kalkaji, and Tughlakabad between 10 AM and 12 Noon. Minimum temperatures that day ranged from 23.4°C to 26.2°C, with Safdarjung recording the highest at 26.2°C. Ridge, however, remained the coolest spot at 23.4°C, which is 3.2 degrees below the normal range.

Humidity levels in Delhi on June 14 were measured at 61% by 8:30 AM, contributing to the overall weather conditions. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 151, placing it in the moderate category.
