The recall spans five flavours — Black Cherry, Grape, Strawberry, Tangerine, and Watermelon — sold in 6-count boxes of 2.5-ounce bars through retailers nationwide. Best-before dates on the impacted packages fall between June 2027 and November 2027.

“The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority,” Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream said in the release. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause our consumers and retail customers.”
No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled items to date. Still, the company advises that anyone who suspects they were harmed after eating an affected bar should seek medical care without delay.

Health Risks of Ingesting Glass
According to the Poison Control Center, the severity of symptoms depends on the size of the glass fragment. Tiny shards may produce no noticeable reaction at all. The company has not disclosed how large the glass pieces in the affected bars might be.
Swallowing larger fragments, however, can trigger a range of symptoms, including:
Chest pain, abdominal pain, blood in the stool, a bloated abdomen, and fever. Sharp-edged glass may also lacerate the mouth, throat, stomach, or intestines. A person who bites down on a shard could sustain cuts inside the oral cavity.
