Sanjay Raut Extends Invitation to Fadnavis and Bhagwat for 'Ramraksha' Campaign: 'Duty and Dharma'
Sanjay Raut invites Devendra Fadnavis Mohan - Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has extended an invitation to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to participate in the UBT's 'Ramraksha' campaign in Nagpur on July 18. The event aims to safeguard the reverence for Lord Ram and foster public awareness following reports of alleged misuse of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Campaign's Religious Focus
The 'Ramraksha' initiative, launched statewide by Shiv Sena (UBT), is framed as a spiritual endeavor to reinforce the sanctity of Lord Ram. Raut emphasized that the campaign seeks to unite Hindu communities and reinvigorate faith in the wake of recent controversies surrounding the Ayodhya temple. He also highlighted the event's significance as a Hindutva-focused gathering near Bhagwat’s residence.

How can it be a political joke?

Clarifying Opposition Criticism
Reacting to BJP leaders like Nitesh Rane and Sandeep Joshi, who dismissed the invitation as a "political joke," Raut defended the decision. He noted that Fadnavis represents the entire state of Maharashtra, not just his party. “The Chief Minister of a state doesn’t belong to just one party; he symbolizes the collective identity of the region,” he stated.
Raut's Longstanding Relationship with Fadnavis
Raut underscored his extensive collaboration with Fadnavis, highlighting a 25-year partnership that spanned the BJP. “Despite our current differences, I have worked closely with him for over two decades. Their reaction to the invitation seems misguided,” he remarked, underscoring the campaign’s broader ideological goals.
Inviting RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat
When asked about the invitation to Bhagwat, Raut emphasized the importance of honoring the RSS's leadership. “Nagpur, as the RSS headquarters, holds a central role in Hindutva movements. We respect Mohan Bhagwat deeply, and it is our responsibility to include him in this significant event,” he said. The campaign’s second phase in Nagpur is expected to draw participation from key figures like Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray.
Program Details
The 'Ramraksha' event will take place on July 18 at 4:30 pm at the Ram Mandir in Ramnagar, Nagpur. It will be held in the presence of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray. Raut’s letter to Bhagwat also mentioned the RSS’s expressed concern over the Ayodhya temple theft, though no legal action has been taken against those implicated.
In his correspondence, Raut pointed out that the incident has shaken Hindu trust. “We must rally the community to counter such challenges,” he added, framing the campaign as a necessary step to rekindle unity and spiritual resolve.
